It"s a Crazy Wonderful Life

This is a blog about my family and the crazy life in the Sims Household. We have 5 children, ranging from 14 to 5, and seem to be going in all different directions sometimes. The purpose of this blog is to help keep our friends and family up to date on what is going on in our lives.

Photoshop Elements

I have Photoshop Elements which I have never used yet for digital scrapbooking. I love so many of the elements on the web for scrapbooking and really want to start using this program to make my layouts. I have a huge collection of digital scrapbook papers and elements that I really want to make the most of. Up until now I have been using the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Designer which I love and was so easy to pick up on. It just can't do everything I know elements can do. I usually pick up on these types of things pretty quickly, but I am so lost here with this software, I just want to scream. I have even tried following some online tutorials and still can't figure things out. Ugh!!! I can't imagine it is that hard to figure out, but so far it is just way over my head!! Am I just dumb or what?

You're not dumb.

Go here:

It's an online tutorial site that has tutorials for almost every conceivable creative application known to man. Towards the top search for Photoshop Elements. Most of the videos are only available to subscribers, but there are many that are available for free.

The cost for a full subscription is well worth it, but you might be able to find your way around Photoshop Elements with only the videos that are viewable for free.

Why didn't you ask me about this?

Maybe you should send me a copy of the program too and then we can help each other learn the program...oh aren't supposed to do that huh! :)

Hope you are able to make it all work!

Wish you could be here this weekend!

I asked my friend who does a lot of digital scrapbooking with photoshop and she said to go to and take the Up & Running With Photoshop - Beginner Class. (My friend learned everything through the class and the other ones she continues to move on to). I am going to take it eventually and a few of her other classes. The things my friends have learned and what they do are amazing! The next digital photography class I am going to be in for sure...I won't forget to sign up!
