It"s a Crazy Wonderful Life

This is a blog about my family and the crazy life in the Sims Household. We have 5 children, ranging from 14 to 5, and seem to be going in all different directions sometimes. The purpose of this blog is to help keep our friends and family up to date on what is going on in our lives.

Eeeewwwww!!!

Today I was out doing yard work. I kept thinking I smelled something nasty and as I got to the north end of our yard it got worse. I seriously thought I could smell rotting flesh. I was working the perimeter of the yard doing the trimming. My first thought was a terrible one, I'll admit, I thought "gosh, I hope the old lady next door isn't dead in her house." The smell was terrible. Needing a break I turned back toward my house and here is what I saw...
It was a dead squirrel, decaying, full of maggots, and very disgusting!! I think the other neighbor's dog got it the other day. I remember seeing their big brown lab running full steam through my back yard a couple of days ago and didn't think anything of it until now. I think Honey got this poor little squirrel. Anyway since Mike was gone, I had to clean it up myself. It was so gross and so smelly. I nearly puked. I hope to never see anything like that again, but as gross as it was, I was happy to know it wasn't my neighbor. :)

That's nasty! I'm glad it was a squirrel, and not your neighbor :)

That is gross! Makes me think of a smell in our backyard this summer near the corner of our yard and our neighbors. Had to ask neighbor to check their yard and it was a dead bird underneath something. Ewwww!
